Shaped like a familiar milk carton, this papier-mâché vase grew out of my earlier artwork Milk, a self-portrait in which I served milk to viewers.

Ever since creating that piece, milk has reappeared in my work as a symbol of our connection to nature and to one another. It is one of the first substances we encounter in life, a reminder that before language, culture, or identity, there is dependence, care, and belonging.

Balancing between sculpture and functional object, the vase transforms an everyday container into a reflection on our shared origins and our place within the natural world.

The piece can hold water and fresh flowers if used carefully, but is primarily intended as a unique sculptural artwork.
