A LITTLE ESCAPE FROM REALITY.

IT STARTED WITH A BABY ELEPHANT.

Dream On began during the first week of the pandemic in 2020.

I was sitting at home in Vienna with a newborn baby while the Austrian government announced that the recommended distance between two people was approximately the length of one baby elephant.

That slightly surreal image stuck with me.

At a time when the world suddenly felt frightening, restricted and strange, I started sending pink elephants into other worlds instead—through landscapes, old master paintings and different moments in art history.

What began as a way to keep my imagination moving became Dream On: an ongoing series about escapism, humour and allowing a little absurdity into serious times.

The elephants continue to wander wherever they please.

And hopefully spread a little joy along the way.

The Dream On elephants have since travelled far beyond their original imaginary worlds, including a monumental installation for Hilton Las Vegas.
